SEPHORA
FEAT. Z. TAO

Performative beauty.

Created for Sephora’s launch in Asia, this campaign combines the energy of a music video with the sophistication of an editorial beauty film. Directed by Shane Griffin and produced by Final Frontier, our long-time creative partners in Asia, it follows pop icon Z.TAO through a series of stylized worlds where performance and product become part of the same visual language.

Our role was to create the CG moments that amplify each performance. Powders, pigments, creams, fragrance, shimmering particles, and flowing materials don’t simply demonstrate the products; they move in rhythm with the edit, supporting Z.TAO like dancers around the main act.

The result is a series of sequences and stills where performance, products, and motion work together as a single visual language. From the smallest particles to the larger, more graphic moments, each element was designed to feel connected to the energy of the performance, while giving the products their own presence within the frame.

It was a project where CGI became less about creating something separate from the live performance and more about extending it, turning textures, materials, and product details into part of the choreography itself.
